Gardendale First Baptist WMU Class a Success!

Gardendale First Baptist WMU Class a Success!

On Saturday, June 1st, Gardendale First Baptist Church hosted our “Investing With Confidence” Class.  We had a great turnout!  Many people were eager to learn about how God tells us we should invest our money.  Here are just a handful of the comments we received after the class from those that attended:

Prior to the class, I was putting all my trust in my advisor to make the right decisions. Going forward, I will be able to better understand the decisions being made with my investments as well as provide input.  – Tammy Westbrook

I’ve been extremely fearful of investing money in the stock market, so rather than doing so I’ve been paying off my house instead.  I am thrilled with realizing that it is not what I think or what I feel emotionally, but looking at the history of the market & developing a strategy for the future.  – Sherry Melvin

As a bankruptcy attorney I only see folks who have taken risk and failed – a disaster for them!  It was great to see a plan to minimize risk and avoid the disaster – truly Investing With Confidence!!!  Great!!!  -Ted Stuckenschneider

Are You In the 2.1%??? The Average Investor

Historical statistics show that the majority of investors rank last in average returns over the last 20 years compared to basic markets.  It’s no wonder today’s statistics show that most people don’t have enough for retirement – whether you’re the “average investor” or not, your family’s financial future deserves more than just a “guess”.  Maybe you don’t understand the market…  or you’re just scared?  A few hours of educating yourself can be priceless for your family’s financial future. Understanding The Three Types of Money

Understanding The Three Types of Money

Are these 20 dollar bills the same?  Sure they are, right?  The answer really depends when looking at them from the investing/tax world view.  Understanding the three types of money is crucial to anyone’s retirement planning goals and especially the retirees income planning.  I have seen hundreds of investor’s loss money, because they chose to spend or save the wrong 20 dollar bill.  Maybe it is time you learn a simple secret very few know.

Proverbs 1:29-31 (NIV) “since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord. Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.”

Investment risk is ever changing and unless you are ever changing with it what you think is the riskiest assets just might be the safest or what you think is actually the safest at some point becomes the riskiest.  Don’t wait till it’s too late to learn what the majority of investors don’t really know or understand about investment risks.

Lamentations 5:9 (NIV) We get our bread at the risk of our lives because of the sword in the desert.
